Pricing is very reasonable, I think.
As to your selection- look at the menu and order what sounds good with no fear. I've never had anything bad at the Chimes.

I ate there for lunch today. Had the sauteed crab crabs (Awesome), the guys next to us had the onion rings (smelled awesome) and I had the fried chicken club sandwich (awesome). You cant go wrong at the Chimes.

Blackened Gator is one of my favorite apps in BR. Blackened Salmon sandwich is money too. Pretty much everything there is good. You won't find better bar food in many places.

Get the blackened alligator, boudin balls and a cup of soup then split a special or a seafood plattter...if you do this get it with red beans and opt for blackened alligator. I've been happy just getting appetizers there or even just salad and soup.

That's what would happen to me too. Of course, I was going around the world at the time. Still happens now too. Maybe I just drink too many beers. When I go to the Chimes, I can never just drink BL, I have to get $7 pints that I wouldn't get anywhere else except the Bulldog...

Duck & sausage gumbo - don't care if the duck isn't real, and I like my gumbo real thick.
