Fine meal at solera tonight

Off the top…no pics
Their menu has pics that do justice
Me, wife, 2 daughters 13 and 10
13 is more adventurous and ate everything we did
10 got the hot chicken sandwich with the “hot” on the side. She loved it. I had a bite and can say that sandwich prepared the way the kitchen intended would be fire.
We had all small plates…peppers, dates, calamari, scallops, potatoes, pork cheeks, lamb lollipops.
Everything was great. My faves were peppers, pork cheeks,lamb.
Manchego cheese cake tastes like nothing else I’ve ever had. I commented, “this is the cheesiest cheesecake I’ve ever had.”
Service was attentive and accommodating to the youngsters (which they probably don’t get much of).
This was another fantastic experience here. Recommend highly.

I've always liked Solera, it's a nice change of pace from the same boring menus it most other places.

Since when?
I’ve never seen pics on their menu. Love their food though. I know it’s hard to spend money on cucumbers because.. well, it’s cucumbers. But their cucumber salad is outstanding.
Caesar too. They use chickpeas as croutons and they put white anchovies on top.

As admitted glutton who encourages equally bad behavior... Solera is rough on my pocketbook
I start by ordering the entire appetizer menu.
And then it really gets out of hand.
I love bringing your average non adventurous country or cajun... And just bringing food and wine out until they can't move

It was definitely a new experience for my 13 y/o
I had to keep reenforcing the pacing of the meal and ensuring her we wouldn’t leave hungry when all we ordered were the small plates.
She did not leave hungry and tried some new things.
The 10 y/o was not as impressed

They also have a frozen old fashioned that is pretty decent and a good take out item on a hot day
