Just got my pot today from Amazon, and did a quick mexican chicken soup. Not sure if just me but seems to have a metallic taste. Any of you experienced this with the ip?
Also any good sites for some decent recipes?

Did you season it first? You're supposed to run it with water first. It helps it with the non stick properties as well.

Season it or just steam water through it?

The instructions said to just steam water through it the first time.

You got a lemon. Throw it out and get another one.

I didnt experience that. I washed the hell out of mine before I used it.

The latter. They called it seasoning though.
Mine just ran at the canning pressure for like 20 minutes.

I didn’t do all that before using and mine was fine.

I had read a bunch of reviews complaining about it being nonstick and everyone's answer was that it was because they didn't do the water thing so I just made sure I did it.

Same. Good wash when I got it. Have had zero issues. Use it pretty regularly.

Regardless of the quality of stainless steel cookware, a metallic taste is likely to occur with new pots and pans. The manufacturer typically cleans and polishes them before packing and shipping them for retail sales, but a metallic taste can linger after the manufacturing process. For best results, wash and dry the cookware immediately after you remove it from the packaging. Wash stainless steel with mild dish detergent and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges or detergents that can scratch the surface of the pan and increase the metallic taste.
Acidic foods like tomatoes are also more prone to make the food taste of metal.

Wow, that sucks. I have not experienced metallic flavors with mine. You could maybe treat it like a new wok, and sauté onions in it. Then throw in some cheap rice and steam. See if that helps.
Be sure to wash the underside of the lid and gasket well, too.

When I first used mine it did that. Doesn't now. Keep cooking. Also for great recipes check out Pressure Luck Cooking. He has great recipes. Made his chili last week and it was awesome.
