It's funny. When I lived in Austin, you could go to a wendy's at lunch with about 15 cars in front of you in the drive through and it would never take more than 5 to 7 minutes. In 3 years the only time they ever got my order wrong was when they gave me an extra double.

Taca Cabana at 2am with 10 cars ahead of me would take no time at all to get me my nachos.

Never had a wrong order at the Jack N the Box and never had to wait long in line.

Whataburger was a little longer of a wait, but once again never a wrong order.

Finally found a popeyes in Austin. Took 25 minutes with one car ahead of me and they got my order wrong.

Love that damn chicken, but why even in Austin is the service so terrible. Here in New Orleans, they get my order wrong at least 40% of the time and it always takes forever.

That's crazy talk! I mean, really, somewhere other than that chicken place gives you good customer service? Honestly, here in the Jackson area, if you want fast and efficient customer service, you go to Wendy's. You go to Chick Fil A if you want a dried out piece of chicken with no condiments.

Popeyes

I don't even think Chic Fil A is adequate competition. In a taste test, Chic Fil A would get blown out of the water by Popeyes. The prices are better, and they are open on Sunday too.

Chic Fil A for me by a landslide. They have the best service for any fast food restaurant and I love their Waffle Fries. I'm afraid to go to Popeyes because they never seem to have what I want when I order so I just quit going.

popeyes and it aint even close.

tell me how the clucker (who I defended against whatacrapburger) can compete with:

- spicy chicken..if it wasnt for having a popeyes here in nashville I would go out of my friggin mind with the bland shite around here. a couple of spicy pieces of chicken and my addiction is sated for a month or so.

- biscuits..omg..this is like buyihng a box of donuts...slathered in honey (before they stopped selling real honey) these are the best biscuits in fast food today PERIOD END OF STORY IMO IMHO GFY FTW TOGTFO

- red beans.. are you kidding me? I sometimes go to popepeys just to order a large red beans & rice and mow that thing down. where in teh hell am i gonna get good red beans and rice here in tennessee???

as for the rest of the popeyes menu..i have no clue..never ordered anything else.

ETA not true..they used to have jambalaya here on the menu and i did get that a few times..very tasy.

POPEYES
POPEYES
POPEYES
POPEYES
POPEYES
POPEYES

ETA2 - And POPEYES is WAAAAAAAAAAAY cheaper if you do it right:

Order:
1 thigh/biscuit snack $1.39
1 thigh/biscuit snack $1.39
1 thigh/biscuit snack $1.39
1 order red beans $1.39
1 water FREE

Total: $5.56 and you'll be in a food coma the rest of the afternoon from having eaten so much.

I order this way but with breasts.

I usually order 2 breast which each come w/ biscuits, a side, and a water. The total is just over $5.

I also hate that Popeye's took their chicken ettouffee off the menu. That shite was gooooood!!

Make it so...

I am tire of Popeye's downward spiral. Their chicken has gotten very bland and chalky tasting over the past decade. I am not sure what the deal it, but I find it true in almost every visit in BR, NO, DS, and Walker (which is the best Popeye's in the area--trust me, I am not the only one that has posted this). Chic-fil-a is just better.

hell, there is an 8 piece mixed box right now for $6.99. People saying it costs $10/head to eat at Popeye's are out of their mind.
