FBD - Newcastle Winter IPA that LSUBoo offered me. Very, very meh.
LSUBoo did let me taste his Dogfish Head Immort Ale
SBD - New Belgium Shift Pale Lager. First time getting around to trying it and it's what I expected, pretty boring. Oh well.

anybody there Wise?

No one is ever there. We sat at the bar there a few weekends ago and it was dead on a Saturday night.

That really is disappointing. I (like I'm sure most of you) want to see another "beer bar" in NOLA, but I have to wonder if the demand really is there. This place also seems to be very niche with the German/Euro-beer focus. I personally think that's awesome, but I think from a marketing/business standpoint, you have to entice people with what is popular with American beer crowds. If they have 70 taps or whatever it shouldn't be that hard to get a couple of IPAs up in there to drag in a couple of mavens.

5BD - Canebrake while watching GS/SA, this'll likely be the last one tonight.

FBD was a ICON GREEN (hoppy Hefe) after cutting the grass late this evening...a nice refreshing beer that fits perfect with the warming temps. This one doesn't dazzle or razzle your jimmies with high alchohol or anything like that, but I really enjoyed this hoppier version of a hefe and it goes well with warmer temps.

SBD about to be ICON Blue

They have 6. 4-5 of which have always been empty while I've been there. They need some craft brews you can buy by the liter, not ho-hum German stuff.

6! I see now doing a little googling that it was "75 beers" that I read and not "75 taps," which makes A LOT more sense.

ETA: Paging glassman. The guy owns Delachaise and Sovereign Pub (or so I read on the internets), so he's probably a rich uptown guy. Too bad they don't have a website so we could leave them hints.

FBD: Urban Cheatnut (STL) Seitz Farm Terroir Lager

Not a huge lager fan so I'm sharing it with the wife. Got it from my friend in STL. I liked the 4 Hands stuff better.

Dined out tonight and the beer selection was shitty so I had a gin and tonic. SBD back home is a Heady Topper.

what'd you think?

FBD

dated 3/20/13. not the best bottle of it I've ever had. maybe it's not cold enough yet? much prefer it on draft anyways.

Has anybody had a Six Point Bengali Tiger recently? I was going through some old pics and realized I had completely forgotten about that beer and how awesome it is.

I guess esoteric discussions on running shoes are more germane to the thread.
