My wife is getting into my CS stash tonight. I find the Motif to be too sour.

F, SBD

The Rise Up Red was solid. The Eliot IPA was better than solid.

And still...... undefeated.

2013 style- no pop when pulling the cork. I expected it to be flat but it's not, it's real oxidized though. Nose is heat, sugar and paper. Taste is the same unfortunately. I love SN and was so happy when this was released and now I am so disappointed. I really expected this to be a jewel in my cellar and it's garbage that gets worse as it warms.

I enjoyed the harshness and heat of this fresh so I should have drank it then. Dump em if you got em. Poop

Well that's disappointing.

Maybe it is like 15 BCBW and some are alright.

My feelings are seriously hurt. I had such high hopes for this beer.....it is truly awful. I just cant get over the oxidation and yet I refuse to pour it out but every sip just gets worse. Wet cardboard is all I am getting from it. I'll get the wife to dump it. I have a '15 that is going from the cellar to the fridge now for immediate consumption.

Watching the Blazers win their 11th outt of 12.

I've got 'em. Glad to be able to get this any time I want them. Like Ghost, though, you never finds old stock on the shelves. It sells to quickly to age much.

No beer for me. Winding down with an Oliva series V and a vodka

What an absolutely perfect night. It's like creation is asleep. Dead calm. Eerily quiet I can hear the draw from the cigar...what a way to bid the week farewell.

Had a Sapporo and a PBR celebrating a friend's 28th birthday. Not a lot happening on a Sunday. Home now waiting on a load of laundry to finish so I can go to bed. Nightcap

At about 6 months of age, much of the hop character has faded out. That being said, I don't find it to be offensively malty. It drinks more like a golden sour. A little cheesey funk on the nose. I get a lot of tropical pineapple juice flavors from it. This surprised me with its quality, I wasn't expecting a whole lot.

Love the Hop Juju. It's not on tap in Portland, but they have a collaboration with Comrade, called Lupulin Manifesto. I gotta go check that out...

I'll be on the lookout for that at Comrade. We get Fat Heads kegs in town for GABF each year but that is it.

And we get Comrade a couple of times a year during beer festivals that Comrade particpates in. After the Brewers festival or the Beerfest, the local taprooms will have Comrade for a week or so... I really enjoy the Comrade stuff.

You should, the head brewer has roots at Barley Browns amongst other places.

When can we expect the 8th year brewery to open baw? You have to be gaining some serious knowledge.
