FBD was a Win-Win Situation NE IPA from the source. Weirdest ne ipa I've ever had. It tastes like it could be pretty good, but I'm getting an overbearing fruit punch tinge.

Nice!
I like it a lot. Those fruits go well with their yeast. These are super fresh so I may save one a couple weeks and see if it has staying power.

I can be wrong but there are stronger porters that more resemble stouts. Some of it has to do with the grain bill, temps, etc. during brewing.

My understanding is the Porter is to Stout as Pale Ale is to IPA. A Porter is a lighter version of the stout.
ETA: Just noticed that Great Notion's guest tap is Melvin's IPA, in case you want something more traditional.

NBD - I Love it When You Call Me Big Papaya sour ale.
This is fantastic. The nose smells like a tropical fruit punch drink. The tartness is perfect.
Great Notion may be known for IPAs, but they have proven that they can do stouts and sours, too.
