Hey guys I'm going to be in Minneapolis for less than 24 hours for work and get in tonight at around 730 pm. Dont have anytime tomorrow to venture out before flight leaves.

What would you do?

Take cab straight to local craft beer bar and partake in a few beers. Any suggestions of places to visit? Im staying in Bloomington, MN outside of metro area.

Or

Take cab straight to a craft beer store and purchase Surly, Great Lakes, and whatever else I can cram into my luggage for return flight(checked baggage). Most stores I saw close at 9pm so would be cutting it close.

Thanks

I'd do that then head to the hotel unload clean up and find a bar.

Weren't you looking for a beer trade last week? You always seem to be everywhere across the country.

I know nothing about Minneapolis, just can imagine any beer right now has no choice but to be cold.

FCoupleofB - Canebrakes

seriously need a place in Pville that I can drive to/from that has a better selection of beer.

Great looking beer menu. Think I would try Dark Horse Scotty Karate.

For sure. It is all canned and easy to pack and travel with.

I would head straight to the beer store and load up on Surly (it's canned so shouldn't be hard to bring back) then hit up some of the local bars and enjoy a few pints of things you can't bring back with you.

Either way I'm jealous

Nice. A buddy was at The Happy Gnome right after Christmas, and kept sending me pics of what he was drinking. Looks like a cool place.

FBD is an Elysian Savant IPA. Not bad, but nothing groundbreaking.

Picked up some good stuff at Stein's but I don't have a single drinking beer or homebrew in the house. Doubt ill have a beer today.

Picked up: Oak Smoked 2013 and regular Old Guardian and a Mikkeller Invasion Farmhouse Ale
Plus a Terrapin/Hebrew reunion ale because I never saw it in BR.

Haven't seen DR13 or Icon Blue yet though.

Not kidding either. It's all I have in my fridge right now.

Gold and red can, not the crap with the blue bull on it.

SBD - SN Bigfoot Ale

Hang 'Em High is just starting on TCM. Know what I'm doing tonight.

Had a couple of Black Crowns over the weekend because they were available and I like to try just about everything. Not a terrible effort from Bud, think the two will be my only experience with it though.

FBD is a Surly Abrasive. No surprise that this is really enjoyable.
