Well my no beer for a while streak ended after a week. FBD Surly Furious, like y'all say these hops ain't gettin any fresher.

It compares favorably, I think. It is a little lighter and crisper than others (Timber Beast for sure), but still has a nice bit of citrus and rye spicy notes. It has a nice crisp finish. You would never think the ABV is 7.5. I will send you a bottle soon. It is more of a session beer and I could see drinking lots in the summer.

SBD is a Great Lakes Alchemy Hour DIPA, thanks to my nephew working up in Ohio.

Zappa, looks like I'll be dowtown rather than in Los Colinas. Not sure if that changes your recommendation for where we should have FBD
