NBD - Cultivating Mass by Breakside.

This is what craft beer drinkers live for. Finding that beer that you didn't know even existed and giving it a shot and saying, "Holy shite!". This is a 10.5% imperial porter that has been aged for a year and a half in bourbon barrels. It is soooo good. 12 oz is the perfect size, too. This is delicious and may be the best porter I've ever had.

ETA: Breakside is one of the best breweries that nobody knows about. Everything they do is really good, and some of them are fantastic. They brew a lot of different beers. They brew well over 100 different beers a year. They keep us in our toes.

NBD - Matryoshka (Muh-tro-shkuh) with cocoa nibs. This is an entirely different beer from the Matroyshka worth cocoa nibs and raspberries that was shared at the jam. Both great beers, but the raspberry version is sweeter and raspberries is the dominant flavor. Both are great beers. Oregon has come a lo g way from the days when The Abyss was the clear number one BA stout. The Abyss may not be top 10. Helleshire by Oakshire Brewing is another beer I tried earlier this week that is also right there...
