I know I am being priced out of a lot of craft beer bars. I was paying $8 for a decent local IPA last week. $7 is pretty much the standard a lot of places. If you go for a BBA Stout or Sour its another couple bucks.

Living in Austin i guess I get the good beer and the good prices. $7 is pretty obnoxious for a 14oz pour IMO.

$14 for a 4 pack of 12oz bottles just won't get my business unfortunately.

Man I'm normally paying around $7-8 for a 10 to 12 oz pour.

It really has gotten out of hand. Yet there I stand, in line for special release Trillium, paying $22 per 4-pack, and wishing they didn't have a 3 pack limit.

FBD - Critical Band. Still $5/pint. Not local, but I'm counting it as local because Modern Times is opening a brewery here. That means that the San Diego brewery will no longer be distributing to NoCal, Oregon, and Washington. Where is that beer going to go? I gotta figure it will go east. Is Tejas going to have Modern Times, soo?

ETA: Some beers are $6/pint, but many of them are still $5, but for a 12 oz pour. This is for regular beers, not BA stuff or extremely high ABV stuff. Prices tend to be a little higher at the breweries than at the taprooms.

Competition is probably holding the prices down.

It's crazy. When I first started drinking craft beer, it was $3.50-$4 a pint, unless you went high gravity. Wasn't that long ago... maybe 10 years.

It's going to a half-filled pub in LA with a majority of fans of other breweries.

FBD taste of new batch of SaisonShine Deelite..... I can still drink homebrews for about $1/beer....that doesn't include equipment I keep buying..... Like that new stainless steel fermenter.......this batch is dryer than Rouge's sense of humor..... 1.003 for you homebrewers.
