We were at Chucks last night and he came over to talk to us and asked where I was from. I told him Nola he proceeded to tell me all we have down there is Abita. I laughed and said no and he honestly looked perplexed.

That was the prevailing opinion 3 years ago. LA beers are as good as any in the country - namely the hazy IPAs. The biggest difference I see is the variety. I can easily go months without having the same beer twice, and I post almost every day. I also don't drink crap.
You'll find more different styles up here. That autumnal mead or honey Saison may not be your cup of tea, but you'll find everything.

TBD was a Gnarvana at the start of the match.
FBD is some Monk Magic Dynasty by Monkish via Legend.
Heavy stone fruit with orange marmalade on the nose and palate. A touch of vegetal spice. For 8.6, the booze is hidden EXTREMELY well. My first Monkish and I can see why people love them, but damn it if that month old Gnarvana before it doesn’t give it a run for the money and that’s saying something.
