It is just a boring beer to begin with. Not bad, just meh.

Gotcha, I agree. Saw it had only decent reviews but it was one of the only beers available that I hadn't had where I bought it.

You live in Hattiesburg?

If so, we will share beers on my next trip, prob first week in Oct

I had a quick breakfast at a great little place downtown, known for pancakes maybe. Right at the end of downtown. Very cool, good coffee

Geauxlden has been vetted. He is cool. I met up with him and Lil Eagle for a lunch and beer and thoroughly enjoyed myself. One of my first BXNs.

FBD: Cigar City Maduro Brown Ale. Has anyone had this beer before? It's my first and it's not impressing me. It was bottled in mid-March, could it be that it's just old?

It's a good brown if you like brown ales. I thought it was on par with nola brown but like others have said it's not the most exciting style of beer. I thrown a brown in every once in a ship but don't drink them every day.

The exceptions for me are dogfish Indian brown and surly bender and coffee bender. I could drink those a lot more if readily available.

NBD THA

I got restless waiting for the game, so gumbo it is. Don't care if it's August, it's football season and I have a/c.

You and everyone else in the world

Those beers make me feel funny in the pants region. I'd drink Coffee Bender for breakfast every day if we had it. Hands down my favorite brown, and I even like it as much as Abrasive.

These are the best browns I've had. I find the style uninteresting for the most part.

Having the rest of my Luchador En Fuego
This beer is awesome. Is this what Mexican Cake is like? Never had a mexican stout before. I dont generally like beers with peppers, but they are so subtle in this I can take it. are peppers a staple of Mexican stouts?

Rogue makes a Hazelnut Brown that's really good.
