I never really was an IPA fan, but I had some deep ellum IPA and I really liked it. today I mixed a 6 pack with a few different IPAs so I'm trying them all. I really like this one so far.

so true

same thing with stouts/porters…I used to be a strictly IPA drinker but I generally prefer a good stout or porter over an IPA these days.

yea, I hadn't drank one in years because I was all "I hate IPAs"

now the same reason I "hated" them before is why I seem to love them now. the best way I can describe it is "bright" I guess. it's not heavy, but you get a lot of flavor.

I love stouts when its cold outside. typically don't drink them often outside of Fall/Winter. unless its a special one.

a lot of tasty lower abv pale ales being produced nowadays and its the season for those.

Also love a nice porter. Dat Rocket Fuel is a great coffee porter at only 4.8%.

which one? I like their 1554 and their La Folie is incredible sour Brown Ale.

Their Rampart DIPA is underrated. Zappas turned me on to that a fair piece ago.

you are on the slippery slope buddy. tread lightly. soon all of your money will be invested in the good stuff

It is eye opening when you discover that beer can taste good and it doesn't have to be cold and just not taste bad...

Yeah a big heavy stout coming in hot is not what I want on a Saturday afternoon in July.

But as your example, I would happily drink that 8th wonder coffee stout year round.
