Do they have 10Fiddy? After having that at the FBD tasting that KJ hosted, I'm craving some more of that. Tell me more about the SA Icon? Thanks for the suggestions guys-some I've been wanting to try based on postings, some are new offerings from favorite breweries.

I saw Yule last time I was at Spec's too. Got one in my fridge.

Not sure about Houston, but I recently found out one of the big problems in BR. Mockler rewards their guys based in volume without consideration of $ value, so schlepping 10 cases of Natty Light means more remuneration for their guys than 2 cases of Grande Reserve at a 100% markup (or more). Miller bases their guys pay on dollar value, but Mockler totally dominates this market, so there's little incentive to get small lots of specialty beers on the shelf unless the retailer has a really active manager like Tim and Bill at Mathernes or CJ at Calandros. The bigger box stores like Albertsons and Winn-Dixie probably let their rep have major input to shelf allocation, so there we get mostly BMC swill. Surely someone with some ins at Mockler can tell them that there's some money to be made in dem dere high end craft beers.

Unfortunately they know we will drive out of our way to get the really good stuff.
And as much as we'd love for it not to be true, there is a LOT more to be made schlepping Bud Light than all their craft beer combined.
