FBD is a øl one ton of...Christmas
At first pour, this beer is ultra carbed. Even for a berliner this thing lit up with a red head like Rudolph’s nose glowing through the fog. The first notes from the nose were cherry and alloy. Yes, alloy. The acidity of this beer did not lend well to canning and shipment from our good friends In Denmark. Initial taste brought the carbonated cherry and red currant to life. I did get a little prune before the alloy took over. This beer is what I would think Bender from Futurama smells like: metal and miller high life. At 8.1%, it comes in on the high end of the Berliner spectrum. Unfortunately, the alcohol cannot hide the metallic aftertaste of this beer. Rudolph’s red nose will need to make it’s way through the garbage disposal because I did not finish this beer. Although the can art is fun for the holidays, I cannot recommend this to the good people of the FBD thread.

NBD we have Double Dry Hopped Ghost in the Machine Double India Pale Ale from Parish Brewing in Broussard, Louisiana.
I did not pour this beer down the drain. One thing I would like to note is the yeast characteristic that Parish Brewing brings to their India Pale Ales. Although it is familiar throughout their India Pale Ale lineup, Parish’s house developed yeast provides a maximum juice factor meaning that there can never be too many hops in a Parish beer. One can hypothesize on the dry hop charge sizes and at what frequency they occur but it is simply put a cornucopia of hop goodness.

NBD is an Urban South LA Brut India Pale Ale
This beer has gotten much better with a little age. What started off as a one note wonder has blossomed into a balanced dry yet juicy India Pale Ale. The dry hop is strong but does not overpower the brut yeast. Urban South has proven again that they can excel at any style they choose.

It’s my favorite thing about them. You open one and you just smell that it’s parish even though it’s a different beer.
Fbd is my baby. She’s as good as ever.
Stocked up on the cheap at our fancy HEB.
