It's only a matter of time before the rest of my generation gets behind this great movement. Their "rebellion" will be striking out on their own and making beer or just drinking good beer compared to their parents. I'm sure it's already like this in places that have had a great craft beer movement for years.
I grew up near Abita for a few years in the early 90s and remember that there was a brewery there and that their water was great.
Started drinking some Abita's in high school when I had the option. After that all I could really stomach was an Amber ale or something similar.

I envy your kitchen space. That reminds me of my place on Constance and Penniston. SO much space in the kitchen, but now I have NO space. Hope to move at some point but the value of this rental unit in the middle of SF is way too great for us to move right now.

Tons of youngsters in to craft beer in Dallas. It's kind of strange when a typical bubble headed dallas blonde next to me at the bar orders a St Arnold's Bourbon Barrel #2.

Yeah, my place is a 2 bedroom, but small by SE LA standards. Hell my place in NOLA was almost twice as big as our place here. BUT, the fact that I live in SF makes it worth it....BUT we plan on getting another NOLA place rather than try to buy here in SF

I'll trade you my extra kitchen space for your local beer selection. My girlfriend might initially object, but as soon as she gets her first taste of those west coast beers her mind will change.

Oh I know I'm not the only one but I think when some of these people who are second generation craft beer drinkers and the like start growing up that market share is going to increase very quickly.

I'm 25 as well. Started venturing into "different" beer when I was 21. I wish more of my friends, and people my age, were into the more craft beers. Hard to find good drinking partners or bars to drink at.

Can't help you in Lafayette but I know I'd spend lots of time at Parish if I could.

36 here. But I started into craft early on. I never have liked the taste of adjunct lagers. In college, all I drank was Turbodog, Purple Haze and Guinness. When it was my turn to head to the bar and buy a pitcher, I'd come back with Turbodog and people would sigh. But then I'd have most of the pitcher to myself. To this day, I don't just avoid BMC for philosophical reasons. I just don't see how people actually enjoy those types of beer.
