I have yet to try this year's release. We did not get to drink the bottle you brought to the party because George drank it. That is OK because he bought all those bottles of champagne that we sabered.

LBD - Buffalo Sweat. This stuff is too bland for the amount of sweetness it has. Have liked each can less and less.

I have heard Bernardus Abt 12 mentioned as Westys closest comparison

I have 3 in my fridge. Found a random 4 back about 2 months back at Rouses in Youngsville. I was pretty shocked.

No Vegas info guy??

Asked about one for BMoney and the server seemed very unsure whether or not they had them. I was wanting to take one away capped. They went and found it and uncapped it before they brought it to me so I drank one and brought one home.

Also picked my first harvest of homegrown hops. These are cascades and they were around 2 oz wet and about .8 oz dry.

Put them in CO2 purged zip lock bags and double bagged them. No clue how well that'll hold up but oh well.

This was only the first picking though and the chinooks are looking great. Plenty of new burrs or buds or whatever they're called all around the top of the plants. Should have plenty to harvest for the next few months.

Not even close. Bernardus 12 is one of the great disappointments in my beerventure. I would put Westmalle Dubbel closer to westy 12....westmalle supplies the yeast to westy.

yes, second year cascades. Apparently cascades put out a much smaller cone. The chinooks are much more impressive looking when they're ready.
