I have no horse in that race...I just think these comparisons are rather silly.

North Texas. Not south Texas with the slackjawed roughnecks.

That zappas.dust is good stuff. I did a blind test and thus is how it came out:

1. Zappas dust
2. Yellow rose
3. Westletervenxii
4. Heady
5. Sam Adams winter ale
6. Shiner bock.
7. Pliny
8. Ghost

Just a fun test to see if you can identify each by taste, color, and smell

My bad. I assumed you were doing a blind test to rank them by which was a better beer.

I would have a hard time calling it with such hoppy beers. Once you drink the first one your palate is chaNged.

Seems like they are all very good beers . I have never had GG or heady though I understand they are very good.

It's way to easy to spot the ghost by smell. Kind of makes it hard to truly give it a blind taste. Regardless nice work by your team of scientist.

Good point. Don't get me wrong I endorse research for any reason but I think the craft beer community is getting carried away with ranking beers

Holy citra ! Even without a glass I can tell the nose is super dank. Had a really nice upfront bitterness that coats your mouth, then gives way to some thick sweetness and finishes with a soft grapefruit rind bitterness. Thanks to my potnah ft for the herd.

Yes. That was a good one. Texas Ale Project 50 Foot JackRabbit.

Great times with the local Krewe and Zappas and wife.

NextBD back home is a Grapefruit Sculpin.

Heady and Ghost were hard to tell apart. The only way I picked Ghost correctly was because it smelled and tastes noticeably fresher.

They looked identical.
