What happens to the impact of the beechwood if you drink Budweiser too long after the can date?

I imagine the barrel becomes more prominent as the hops fade.

I'm still nursing this sucks. Two glasses down, probably 1.5 more to go.

FBD is a Java Bomb! In what felt like the proper glassware for tonight.
Combined these two and it's pretty doggone good!

From what I remember the beechwood has no flavor. It is simply a housing complex for the yeast at the bottom of the tank.

Nice combo. I mixed GF Hop Head Red and Deviant Dale's the other night...was tasty.

4BD: Another Elevated GOAT IPA. No beechwood was harmed in the making of this beer.

On that subject, I hope Wise puts some pressure on those NOLA boys. We need a beechwood aged NOLA Blonde. I'd bring a growler to the next bottle share.

The Grantland description of the Budweiser commercial that is apparently so inflammatory:

quote:

Amos Barshad: This commercial is great because it makes fun of Brooklyn. Brooklyn is where I live. And yes, it does at times feature bearded gentlemen sitting in well-lit bars on Sunday afternoons — their dogs within petting range, their children a stroller handle away — enjoying some meticulously brewed craft beer. This is, by most accounts, a perfectly great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. But then you see this bit of jumbled fast-cut nonsense and all you really wanna do is sit on a porch and have someone literally toss you a Bud you unself-consciously refer to as a “cold one.” And even though you’re draped in the star-spangled banner in a manner so emphatic that it’s covering your eyes a bit, and even though you have Revolutionary War–era muskets in both hands because what if the British come back, you catch it perfectly and you glug down that sweet taste of nothing and then you stand up and salute your dog — who is also holding two muskets, and who is winking at you with pride — and you say GOD BLESS AMERICA and GOD BLESS THE INBEV CORPORATION, the BELGIUM-HEADQUARTERED PARENT COMPANY OF THE MIGHTY BUDWEISER (TM).

Well. America.

5BD: Another LaCumbre Elevation

I can already see that my biggest challenge of the week is going to have absolutely nothing to do with work. Instead, it's going to be trying to not consume all the GOATS before I even leave the state. Would be nice to have a couple for back home.

Then again, these GOATS ain't getting no fresher.

Elevated IPA is awesome, no doubt. Look for their Project Dank.

It's not available in Carlsbad. If I head up to Artesia this week, I'll be on a mission for it.
