Malt on the nose, as well as a weird hint of spice I'm not sure about. That doesn't excite me from a beer this fresh. Welp. That's a Red IPA, I guess. Malty. Some citrus on the finish, but hardly what you'd expect from a beer marketed as a blood orange IPA. I'd have expected a lot more bittering from this. This is just not very good. Oh well.

Well, won't be buying now. Thanks for falling on that sword

Eta has Terrapin made a hoppy beer worth getting excited about yet? I generally consider them a good brewery, but thier hoppy offerings continue to disappoint

I'm a sucker for anything new. The shite by the cash register at the grocery store? They put that there for idiots like me. Slap a new sticker on it and I buy it. Regardless, I'm gonna finish the bomber, but I halfway expected to go back tomorrow for another. No way in hell. Especially not when I can get an Enjoy By bomber for less $$$. As it has warmed it's getting some citrus notes, but it's still primarily malt.

Indeed. Ordering at the bar and having a beer while you wait on the pizza insures a proper order and a hot product to bring home to the family. Only way to do it.

Yeah, it is kinda strange. I might drink many of these THA tonight.

FBD Stone Enjoy By. Another disappointing effort in this line. It's all booze with some hops, when it should be the other way around. Thunderstruck is superior to this in every way.

Tried it the other day and thought the same exact thing. Liked dark penance by founders though

I had almost the exact same take. Isn't enjoy by supposed to have the recipe each time? No where near the dankness from a year or so ago. Tons off alcohol though.

That Thunderstruck was amazing when I had it this weekend. May have ran up an obscene bill at Bulldog proving it to myself.

Well shite. I bought a six pack. You beer dicks aren't exciting me for my NBD. Maybe I'll treat it like Milo and age them.

At BP drinking and watching baseball. Starting with a taster- West to East IPA, a Rye IPA collab with Half Acre, and Schooner Fresh Hop IPA. Life is good.

Yeah, I don't get it. This is just a booze bomb. At least it's not sweet. But the hop aroma and flavor is just missing.

I have never gone back to check the ABV, but bought a pour or two for a friend and it was the first thing noticeable.

Maybe it adjusts work age. Still not a bad taste.

Damn. Sorry to hear that. I was looking forward to getting some of the new batch. Now, not so much.

3BD is another THA.

I don't think it's that bad. I agree it's not what it has been in the past but very enjoyable.

FBD was a commotion courtesy of KJ. Very nice. I'll be pounding them this weekend.

Sbd was a hoptagon

Well, significantly better than the last turd. The nose is toned down. Older versions you could smell it when you cracked it. When you get in there with your nose there's still some dankness. You still get some good flavors, but I'll agree that there is some alcohol burn that you can pick up immediately and that follows throughout. Still. This would be the 3rd worst DIPA in the state were it brewed here, and could push for second best. It's a huge hop blend, but I feel like I get a little more Mosaic flavor from the hops than I have previously.
