Til then,

FBD is an Allagash Curieux. Relatively light color, but the barrel definitely comes through.

Hoops and other Chicago folks, Half Acre tap takeover this Friday. Beverage director said they've got 15 tap handles, including their barrel aged stuff.

FBD is double stars from celestial. Lotta wheat in this and it's really good.

FBD - ‘13 Bourbon County Templeton Rye
2BD - Triple Barrel (Heaven Hill, Buffalo Trace, and Woodford Reserve) Bourbon County

First time having Templeton. Pretty (very) rare the taproom throws it on tap.

Whole Foods on Ashland, right? Love me some Half Acre, but Maplewood’a anniversary party starts at 3pm, so I may leave work early and head there before girlfriend’s birthday stuff.

Really liked that malted wheat in that one. Gave it a depth of flavor a lot of juice doesn't have.

Yup.

I'm still drooling over the BCBS over here. Damn. I had their triple barrel (or double barrel...can't remember) at FOBAB last year and it was glorious.

I've never been to Maplewood or tried their stuff, but that BA barleywine sounds real good.

Went to FoBAB this year after spending the afternoon at MoRE for their BA Henna variant tapping. Wasn’t easy.

Triple barrel is boozy, but awesome. Templeton is wildly good.

Don't feel bad, I had to research what MoRE is too. I have never heard of them but love the looks of those barrel aged beers they've got.

FoBAB is the Festival of Wood and Barrel Aged Beers. Happens every year in Chicago and it's awesome. Imagine all the best barrel aged beers in the entire country all in one spot where you can drink as much of each as you want. Goose Island, being the Godfathers of barrel aging and local to Chicago always bring out their best and most rare stuff.

FBD- my last dance with Lush.

FedEx package didn't come today because the driver didn't know the code to the building. Here hoping tomorrow's driver is better prepared.

FoBAB is an abbreviation, but looks like Chitown has you there.

No abbreviation with MoRE. It's a brewery in the west suburbs (Villa Park) of Chicago that has seen spectacular spike in popularity. It's not easy to get to from the city, so I don't go there much, but they have an awesome barrel-aged program and nice selection of hazy IPAs.

Coincidentally, the HS I went to is in Hinesburg. It's right outside Burlington and the second-largest in Vermont, despite only being ~1,500 students. That's Vermont for you.

Even though I didn't grow up in VT have much live for the state. I love driving through Montpelier, if only because I know it is BY FAR the smallest state capitol and a nice Co-Op.

Speaking of VT, NBD is a Poon IPA.
