After a great weekend celebrating the gf’s birthday in Houston, we’re back at my parents’ place in Covington brewing up another neomexicanus NEIPA.

Weather is perfect for some gumbo courtesy of my pops and Live Oak Hefe courtesy of my wares from the Houston trip (I will be depleting said wares throughout the day.)

Man, that looks awesome. This might make me have to go home and cook up a pot of gumbo!

SBD is Odell’s Sippin’ Pretty Fruited Sour. Açaí, Guava, and Elderberry are all well balanced and present without being overwhelming. This is a subtle sour that is super refreshing and crushable.

Gumbo sounds good right about now, especially with low 40s around these parts.

FBD- a well-deserved Triple Crossing Falcon Smash after a 10 mile run early this morning.

FBD was an alpha squid. SBD was the last of this milewide. In the process of brewing the juicy bits. Wish me luck!

I'm a loser. Maybe another beer will help me overcome this tragic defeat.

I need to learn to run before I drink beer.

Yellow Rose SMaSH Pilsner/Mosaic IPA. All the notes you expect from bittering and dry hop Mosaic Whole Cone additions. Piney, resinous bitterness along with grapefruit and blueberry fruit flavors. It’s very good, but I’ve had better SMaSH brews. Portrait mode destroying my glasses again...

My rule is I can't have a beer before a run or workout, or else I'm not running that day. It helps me with my motivation to get exercising.
