I see you are stimulating your mind with brain games. Nice way to be a sharp minded drunk. Do you have an adult to help ?

Damn, just read about this. Why would they do this on a Wednesday night? It's at 10 Barrel in Bend, but I'd find a reason to go down there for this if it were on a weekend. Who wins? I think it comes down to Central Oregon and California... Damn, I'd love to go to this. Thirty Two 4 oz. samples - that's 8 beers.

Beer Wars IPA Fest is back on Wednesday August 13th!

Come and taste 32 different IPA's from Central Oregon, Rest of Oregon, California and Washington and see who really makes the best IPA in the West.

The final lineup of 32 amazing beers includes IPAs from;
Central Oregon; 10 Barrel, Boneyard, Crux, Deschutes, BBC, Cascade Lakes, Goodlife, Sunriver
Oregon; Barley Browns, Pelican, Hop Valley, Ninkasi, Breakside, Pfriem, Gigantic, Laurelwood
Washington; Elysian, Fremont, Georgetown, Naked City, Bale Breaker, Engine House No. 9, Backwoods Brewing, Schooner Exact
California; 21st Amendment, Firestone Walker, Green Flash, Lagunitas, Ballast Point, Sierra Nevada, Stone, Speakeasy

Entry is FREE! Beer tasting glass costs $5 and 4oz tasting tokens are just a buck.

ETA: Any area of the country could set up something similar...

Well we party down here on Wednesdays, we just don't have enough mavens for something like that.

SBD - Stone IPA
TBD - SoPro IPA. This 8/20 batch is decidedly different. Maybe I screwed up handling the cans or something. Way too malty.

Pic of the beagle after a dog park, mike the tiger, and some IPA at Red Zepp.

Yeah, but Bend is 3 hours away.

I resent Bend...

That town in the middle of nowhere has 75K people and they have more good breweries than most of the states in this country. No traffic, to speak of. Great ski resorts in the winter and great hiking, rafting, and biking in the summer.

Not since Dragnet.

Had a decent run around the lakes earlier and now starting to think about FBD.

2009 Deschutes Abyss why would it sell for 70 bucks?
Because it has aged?
