I don't care for Mecha, but not because I've had any that were "off". I just find it to be way too bitter without enough of the good stuff that a good hoppy beer should have.

So when and where is first official BR FBD meet up?

The BR Krewe gets together from time to time. Sometimes impromptu. I'm usually up for a happy hour meeting at PH or Bulldog.

No this tastes skunked, the smell is awful and whatever flavor is carrying over to the finish. I've had this before several times, just the first time out of the can. I just opened another one, same thing. I mean it smells literally like puke, ridiculously pungent but not in your typical ipa way. I'm sending them an email because rouses may have fricked them up. Been meaning to hit you up for awhile, but between vacation and surgery things have been wild.

On tap, I would say I thought what fearless leader said, but it wasn't undrinkable. If I was at a bar right now I would call the bartender over and be like dude your taps are fricked our something. Again, just saying, had it in tap multiple times and agree underwhelming despite hope otherwise, but this is bad. Times like these we need Emeril to internet that smellovision he always talked about. Y'all got suggestions on who to email?

It took awhile but I nailed it, it tastes like fricking tin dude.

It's a DIPA that's missing the hops. No hop flavor or aroma. They dry hop with a whopping 1/2 pound per barrel (31 gallons). To put it in perspective, I dry hopped my black IPA (6.2%) with 1/4 pound of hops for a 5 gallon batch. And I don't claim it to be a double IPA.
