Dallas beer isn't as good as I had hoped, last time down I hit Deep Elum, Community, etc and I will say La beer beats it. Now a lot of places had great stouts and porters which I liked and enjoyed but frick July is just too hot to drink more than one.

There is not a great IPA here....but I will put some of our stouts against anyone.....but our water chemistry lens itself to those type beers.....although in the modern world I don't know if that matters....and Community Mosaic is a very good IPA....and Martin House....and Legal Draft.....and Mailai Kitchen is probably doing the best dfw ipas but you have to go to their restaraunt....with that said....throw out Parish and Dallas ipas are on par with LA beers....and there are so many dfw breweries now there is stuff I have heard about but havent tried yet.

I am sipping on bourbon here and hitting the rack soon. I hope you are feeling better tomorrow. I am ready to contribute to a 20 page thread.

Martin House and Legal House I did not try...

I mean I did Meddlesome Moth, World of Beer, Back Porch and Grill, and a few places that are franchised

Community is just a preference as I've never enjoyed them

I never go to meddlesome....they have a rep for having obscure stuff but I've never thought their tap list was great.....I've never heard of back porch.....in the burbs, Taps n Caps is the place to go..maybe the best place in DFW....in Dallas, Craft n Growler is good.

Was just some random place that popped up via another website. Was not really worth it....

Moth was fine as they had several taps that were perfectly fine including BA Ten Fiddy at the time....

I need to get more Martin House though

My wife often makes fun of one of my favorite author's name. Justifiably, I suppose.

NBD was either this or 9 month old Coronado IPA...I'll take this. At one of the coolest, least pretentious bars in Laguna beach. The whole bar is about 15 feet wide and 30 feet long.

Their Friday IPA is solid.....not Parish good but pretty good. Their Cellarmans IPA is hit and miss as they rotate hops.....and it has to be inside a week fresh. Then they have a great Gose and a beer I'm not sure they brew anymore.....Kafkaesque......typical of Dfw breweries though....their best beers don't sale so they stop brewing them......Deep Ellum had a world class Dipa 4 years ago and then dumbed it down.

Hopefully, the ATL won't be too messed up by Irma...
