FBD - Below average Monday

First beer comin

FBD is finally my first bloom. Pretty good.

FBD at least isn’t below average.


I actually enjoy this beer a lot. Probably my favorite single IPA brewed in Louisiana that I’ve had. Closest in my preference is probably Opus.

If Bayou Teche was able to distribute Fatty in Houston on a regular bases, this with MiniBawce and Ghost would be my consistent IPA fridge rotation.

Olive or Twist has a nice little tap list.

FBD is a Matryoshka with vanilla, almond, coconut, and blueberry.

When I first had this back in February, I thought the blueberries clashed a little bit with the almonds, vanilla, and coconut. Now I see the flavors are coming together. Very nice.


Oh, yeah. Appropriate, yet inappropriate glassware.

Do you still travel to New Mexico? If you do, I suggest you try Ex Novo Brewing in Corrales. I think their beers would be right up your alley.
