Langenstein's has them Gris.
Thanks. I've seen them there and I saw them at Rouse's in Laffy yesterday when I was in town on business, but I didn't buy them. I'll be back there next month and may stock up for holiday meals/visitors. I like them with butter and mayhaw jelly.

Hard to beat that combination.

Especially when they're warm and the two melt a little together. Heaven on dough.

I limit myself to two. It's hard, though.

My favorites used to be Marshall's in the little foil tray. Hard to find these days if they're even made anymore
I bought some at Matherne's on Bluebonnet in Baton Rouge last week.
Mary B's are good for a pre-made biscuit. When I have time and feel like cleaning up the mess (yes, rolling them out does make a mess in my kitchen), I do enjoy making my own. But as someone said earlier, biscuit making is almost an artform. In order to achieve the perfect fluffiness and layers, it takes practice and sometimes adjustments to recipes.

I can remember my dad geting up every morning and making a batch with Pioneer Biscuit Mix. The aroma of them baking in the oven was our alarm to get up and get ready for school. Man, what a great memory !

My dad did the same with Pioneer or Bisquick. Kitchen was always a mess, but it smelled good and the biscuits tasted good.
