Yeah, they have a side menu. Their filafel sandwich is one of the best I’ve had. Try the schwarma too.

tom may be right..
Parsley and Pepper is a fabulous new addition in BR, guy works hard making stuff from scratch, folks need to give this guy some biz, would be a shame if he had to fold.

Zorba’s is solid, but I liked it better when they were in their old location (LA Lagniappe).

Has it really? How long has it been around?
Yeah. Seems like ownership has changed hands a couple of times over the past year. They now have a lunch buffet. Went yesterday and the chicken/gyro was room temperature at best. Asked for some to be warmed up and got it ~20m later and it was warm but very dry (not fresh).

I've been a few times and enjoyed the meals. My favorite thing about them is the variety of sides (you choose 2 with each entree plate)--roasted veggies, potatoes or asparagus, pasta salad. Gives a bit more options than the standard rice pilaf, hummus or feta salad (which I think are all listed as sides too).
Zorba's has always been a favorite and I've never had a bad meal there.
I'm disappointed to hear Zooroona has fallen off--their food always seemed to be fresh and flavorful, also giving various options for sides. I haven't been there in the past year though.
Albasha & Serop's are always solid options too. But I'm not a big fan of Serop's Express, which is ok but not nearly as good as their regular restaurants. Honestly, the Shell station on Perkins near Oak Hills that someone mentioned is a much better option IMO than the Serop's Express on Perkins near Bluebonnet.
Least favorite:
Roman's and Almaza. Both seem overpriced to me, and I've never been crazy about any of their food.

Probably Baton Rouge’s best kept secret for good Greek food

You do realize that Greek food and lebanese food are not necessarily the same thing. Both are a type of mediterranean food but are not the same. I dislike the fact that Lebanese restaurants use the word greek when explaining what they sell.
This drives me crazy. Not sure why it bothers me so much but it does. i mean do most of these places Mentioned in this thread have spanakopita, pastitsio, souvlaki and avgolemono on the menu? No because they aren't freaking Greek restaurants they are Middle Eastern.

It's all Geek and Lesbian to me.

Completely agree, while I do love me some Albasha and I eat it when I drive through BR. Greek Food by far is better than any single Middle Eastern Restaurant mentioned.

Was Zorbas the only Greek restaurant mentioned?

What's odd is this seems to be a Baton Rouge phenomenon. I traveled across the southeast five days a week for ten plus years and actively sought out Middle Eastern food. I don't recall seeing it labeled as Greek/Lebanese anywhere else. I have friends and family spread across the country who enjoy different ethnic cuisines and I've never heard any outside of La refer to Middle Eastern food as Greek.
