You sure you don't want to add an IHOP appetizer in there?

In his defense, cheese fries from ATII's saved my life on more than one occasion, so I see his point.

they better have the banana ice cream!

You just might have to settle for the world's best lemon icebox pie.
Try the peppermint icecream if they are not serving the banana. Have a great meal.

Blackened Alligator @ Sammy's
Crabmeat Cheesecake @ Ruffino's
Chargrilled Oysters @ Mike Andersons [puts on flame proof suit.]

Also, today I had a new Appetizer at Bistro Byronz that is pretty extrordinary. It was baked feta is a tomato sauce (almost a soup)topped with loads of fresh basil. It came with toasted Byronz bread cut into sticks to dip it in. Super Good!!!

A former shithole bar, on Magazine St. in Uptown N.O. that a bunch of neighbors got shut down in favor of the current cheeseball establishment that took its place.

Glass is on the money. Constant fights. Two inches of bar gravy. Tons of drunk chicks. Mix in the walk to/from Hofbrau. Good times.

That Monkey Heaven place or whatever it is has probably the most ridiculously expensive drinks in town, if you consider the environment.

The only redeeming aspect of The Monkey Bar is they have ridiculously hot bartenders.

I forgot about that part of it!

Anything special I should try at Clancy's?

Oysters for sure, but I'm open to anything for the main course...

True, but they are the worst bartenders in town.

ETA, if I see a female bartender I generally take that as a bad sign. I am officially getting old...

If you or anyone in your party is a fan of soft-shell crabs they probably have the best in town. The smoked pork loin is awesome. I really have never had anything that wasn't really good there. Listen to the specials and get what you think sounds good. I know you aren't a big drinker, but they have a great wine list that is reasonably priced.

They have a great shrimp remoulade, as good as anywhere. You will have a great meal fo sho!!

My sister had the softshell crab the last time I had dinner there, and I do remember that it was one beautiful piece of work...but I will definitely listen to what the waiter says about the specials.

Hopefully it won't be super loud in there!

Little Village had some sort of stuffed shrimp with a sweet habener sauce that is killer. Have to order it everytime even though it is 15 for 3 shrimp.
