not gonna lie I'm a homer. I always try to buy local.
this is how it should be assuming you have decent local choices.
If you want craft brewing as a whole to succeed and grow, support your local craft breweries...

Amen to this.

Finally had a chance to pick up some of their beer and it was outstanding. I got their Pilsner and Belgian Style Wheat Ale and they were both top notch. Maybe the best Pilsner I've ever had.
Try Lefthand's Polestar pils. It is also very good.

Maybe I am just Stoned out, but I drink less and less Stone now a days. I was just discussing this with my friend down in SD. Stone wouldn't crack our top 3 (possibly top 5) just from San Diego (Lost Abbey, Alesmith, Green Flash, Port, Ballast Point...).
How long has Stone been distributed to LA?

Probably so. The hard part for craft breweries is to remain on the cutting edge.
Also, I find myself wanting to buy something I haven't had before instead of going for something I've had a lot of.

3 or 4 years now.
Green Flash is the only other one you mentioned that we get, and it's a limited lineup. (Not that we get ALL Stone brews either, but we get most.)

This is the exact reason I don't drink much Stone. I went through my Untappd list of Stone and realized Arrogant Bastard, Levitation and Ruination weren't on there, which means I haven't had any of them since 09/2011 (that includes two trips to the brewery

I agree, I think some of this based on expectations and not where they are right now. Parish is like the basketball player right out of High School who has enormous potential two years down the road that gets picked higher than a four year great college player.

Never been a huge stone guy...I drink ruination from time to time but thats really it.

IMO a brewery that basically only produces one beer that is readily available should not be ranked that high
How bout north coast. Would you give up one of the few great beers which I still moderately priced (old Rasputin) for the rogue lineup?

I'd probably take 4 or 5 of the ones that finished lower ahead of Rogue, if it was just my rankings.

Not sure what you are asking here. Old Raspy is a top flight beer and is always in my rotation and is on another level than Canebrake IMO. I guess I should have said a brewery that only produces one good beer that is readily available should not be ranked that high IMO. Don't get me wrong, I am not bashing Parish and I think they have great potential I really like Canebrake but I don't think it is a great beer which is worthy of elevating a brewery over some of the breweries behind it in the poll. The people have spoken! I would not give up mutch for the Rogue lineup. I am not a fan of much of their stuff. Double Chocolate stout is good.
