One of our vendors sends us a box of cheese straws every year. I love cheese straws and can easily eat the box myself. However, this year it seems as if the UPS man played soccer with the metal box they came it. They are close to dust in there.

So, my challenge to the Food Board is to help me find a way to repurpose these delicious holiday snacks. I’ll eat just about anything so fire away!

Food processor and then use it as the dry base for a crust for a quiche.

Boom. Put me on Chopped.

Use them as a topping in place of bread crumbs on some baked mac 'n cheese.

Chop em up and snort em. Or add an egg, more cheese(I prefer Asiago), butter, a tad bit of cayenne and rebake them like small cookies for a cheese straw that is 10 times better than the original.

I love those first two suggestions, and I’ll add:
—use as a coating for a homemade cheese ball
—mix w a little flour and coat chicken breast strips and bake (think shake n bake style baked chicken tenders)
—sprinkle atop a bowl of hot, buttered grits
