Too hot to eat at The Kitchen now unless you get it to go.

Speaking of "ethnic" places though. Anybody ever tried Big Mama's?

When I first discovered The Kitchen it was this time of year, summer of 1994. I worked summers at Monroe Warehouse Trucking on the maintenance crew. We ate there about 3 days a week. We would go through about a pitcher or 2 of sweet tea at lunch.

I enjoyed the kitchen after many nights of poor decisions.

Never heard of big mamas, but sounds like somewhere i should have grabbed lunch after a duck hunt or a night at a .50 pitcher joint

Can someone give me a reason that I should ever be in Monroe? Not hating. Just wondering.

I'm not from Monroe, but I've lived here a pretty good while now.

And relax, I legitimately only do this because I know it gets the Monroe defenders up in arms.

I'm a regular at all the Monroe restaurants, but in all honesty, they have nothing on the restaurants in some of the cities I've lived and/or spent significant time in (NOLA and Manhattan)

You're a plant...an agent sent here to look innocent enough, but with a mission to spread disinformation and to create uncertainty and dissection in Meccas's food empire.
