Boil them in water. Sprinkle with Tony’s in a cooler and shake the cooler violently for 2 minutes.

Serve with ketchup.

La Fish Fry Crab boil seasoning 4.5lbs bag
8 lemons
6 onions quartered
4 small oranges
8 pods of garlic with the tops cut off

Boil for 30 minutes
Add 3 lbs new potatoes
Boil for 10 minutes

Add crawfish and bring to a boil. Boil until they float (about 2 minutes)...kill fire.

Remove lid and let them soak until they sink (about 20 minutes). Start tasting until they taste how you want.

For 2nd batch...pretty much add half of the ingredients above.

*For spicier crawfish...Add cayenne pepper. I stay away from liquid crab boil.

Enjoy!!!

Are you intentionally being vague?

How much crawfish? How big is your pot? What non-crawfish things you have to throw in the pot?

I don’t think you can get 2 batches out of that

And you've never done this before? Please pass this job to someone who knows what they're doing...

You are good...it's almost as easy as boiling water. Just don't boil the crawfish too long this early. End of May or in June you might want to boil longer. But it will just take them longer to float later in the season.

I forgot an important step. Rinse the crawfish in an ice chest about 5 times until the water runs clear. No need to add salt...just wash, rinse, repeat until the water is not dirty.

agreed, if you want it spicy then you need that amount for each boil, if you want it a "little" spicy but not hot, then use 4oz liquid for each boil.

either way you at least need to run out and get another 4.5 lbs jar of crab boil mix.

you might want to ask around about the side items they are expecting with it as well, potatoes, corn, mushrooms, whole cloves of garlic, small whole onions, maybe even sausage or hot dogs as well. the sides are the tricky thing to be sure everyone has what they are expecting to find

No.The shells get harder. You arent going to tenderize them to peel easier. If you cook them longer you risk overcooking the meat, which is what you dont want to do.

True!

When the shells are hard...you need to shrink the meat down so they peel easier.

I know...it's a weird dynamic. But its true. The later in the season, the longer you boil. Boil till they float...soak till they sink. And no matter what time of the year...You will be OK!
