Headed there tonight. I searched and saw some positive reviews. Anything specific we can't miss?

I haven't eaten at Eliza since the lockdown started so I won't comment -prior to that I ate there for lunch at least once a week - the food was great - I usually ordered the fried catfish or fried shrimp and it was always good. I believe the chef/owner was a chef at Commander's in NOLA -

Everything is pretty solid. The Grilled Gulf Fish and Catfish and Etouffe are both great. The Smoked Tuna Dip and Oysters Bienville are solid as well. Wife had the new Lamb Lasagna recently and it was delicious. Can't really go wrong there.

It’s a staple for my wife and I. We dine there regularly and it’s my favorite spot in Baton Rouge.
Honey I’ve never had a bad meal. Their crab cakes are pretty great and seems to be everyone’s go-to for a first time visit.

Pre - Covid I liked it. Went a few weeks ago and it was awful. The food tasted like they just microwaved some old leftovers

I think their menu changes ... but I've never had anything bad there.
I went a few weeks ago and the pimiento cheese balls are great ... and I had the Gulf fish which was fantastic (and I'm not a fish person). My friends really liked what they ordered ... the hamburger is good ... the catfish and etoufee. It really depends on what you like and want.
It's pretty late now ... did you decide to go? How did you like it?
