Flaky you have to cut butter, fold in threes, roll, fold again and refrigerate.

Brown top wash the biscuits with eggs. I like the together as I don't like a hard side and I do prefer darker tops.

But those look good and that's one big arse thumb.

Nice, OG.

Stayed at B&B once and for breakfast, they served biscuits made with Bisquick, sour cream and 7 up. They were delicious. We made those a lot after that, but I haven't had them in a very long time.

Don, you like salty biscuits? I guess you can "season to taste"...

Btw, I have gotten in the Evan Williams a tad too much before supper and made fried chicken for the boys one night, sure hated to throw away all the seasoned chicken flour and made biscuits out of it. I was so excited to taste my new fangled "salt, pepper, garlic, chicken biscuits".
They were nasty!

That does sound a bit gross.

I've got you up by 10 at the half over Iron Chef Lester Earl.

He'll need to make some adjustments at the half if he's gonna make this interesting.

I certainly can't blame a feller for wanting someone that knows how to cook them, to fix him some, brown and crispy, I would too! But, I just like fixing them for the boys, the way that I like em',,,,, and the boys weren't picky at 4 in the morning.. And I repeat, could slice and brown em' the next morning, slap a fried egg and piece of pan sausage on there, and hit the woods.

Did the biscuits taste tangier than usual? Just curious because that buttermilk expired almost a month ago.

Seepy, it's clabbered when it's new, can you tell a taste difference in month old buttermilk that's stayed in the icebox, I can't. Just shake it, if you can't see any big clumps, it'll do for biscuits.

ETA: after going to pic to look, I also noticed that the date on baking powder was 2011, I guess I picked an old one out of the pantry? In any event,, the cats rose!

Jerry, I don't remember saying it was my camp, but, if I did, I sincerely apologize to you. Gee, I hope it didn't confuse you..
