I'm cooking my brisket today because with church and all I won't have time tomorrow.

9lbs. The house smells incredible right now. Plan is to finish it off with a glaze tomorrow after church.

We got prime rib, ham, lamb chops, and tons of sides for tomorrow.

Got it at rouses. I was pissed because I almost got the exact same size at Sam's earlier in the day, but didn't for whatever reason. I ended up paying about $15 more for the exact same piece of meat.

That looks awesome. What’s in the braising liquid?

The liquid is brown sugar, garlic, onion powder, celery salt, thyme, beef stock, soy sauce, Worcestershire, 2 bottles of stout beer, and a half cup of bourbon.

I found the recipe online and it seemed intriguing. The brisket is finished with an apricot and bourbon glaze. Hopefully it doesn't suck.

Yeah. That’s what I was gonna tell ya. Guess you know/knew.

The one off Pinnacle hasn’t had the whole brisket the last couple of times I’ve been there. Just the flat part. Not sure why. They’re good though.

The meat at Rouse is always more than other stores. Especially around any holiday. The Fourth of July is the worst.
Kind of like price gouging but they get away with it.
Donald has that big new mansion in Thibodaux to pay for at your expense.

Smoked leg quarters, Conecuh sausage, polish sausage, and boudin. Baked beans, potato salad and plenty of beer, for me at least.

Thanks for the info. I was misinformed. Between Nicholls and Percy Brown right.
Not sure who Tommy is.

It’s good to get the correct information.
Those rumor mills can be and are usually that, rumors.
I should know better.
