Staying at The Watermark next weekend for the Mrs’ birthday and going to eat at Little Village that night. Other than the bar at the hotel, is there anywhere nearby you guys would recommend for either a pre or post-dinner drink?

The River Room or Blend are both nice places.

We enjoyed Blend too. My wife and I had a few drinks there before dinner a few months ago. Pretty nice place

Near Little Village (get the bread), are the Bald Eagle Pub and the River Room.
Bald Eagle Pub if you want a hole in the wall local, sometimes strange, crowd.
River Room if you want a nicer place alongside poiticians.

Same owners as Cecelia and K-Street. If you didn't have dinner plans I'd suggest going to Cecelia.

Also: RIP Driftwood (now Squeaky Pete's).

Don't discount the bar and restaurant at the Watermark. They are very good and people who are not staying at the hotel come for them.

No doubt. We like to come in for baseball weekends and always stay there. Excellent bar and great food.
