Have a friend at the Hyatt regency downtown
Anything in walking distance or short car ride she can check out? Will de dining alone. A good wine list wouldn't hurt, but nothing too fancy
I'll hang up and listen

MKT Bar has a decent wine list I think.
Uber it over to Reef for one of the best wine lists in town, sit in the bar area if she doesn't want to sit alone in the dining room.

Idea of Reef dress & price point?

Reef. It's a short light rail ride to the McGowan exit, then a block or two walk. Would highly recommend. Their wine list has very reasonable prices.

Dress is business casual. No coat or anything like that required. Jeans and a nice shirt will do if that's all you've got.
Price point is 9-12 on most apps. 20-30 for most entrees. I can't speak to the wine list.

On a week night? Casual.....hell any night really, it's summer time in Houston. Jeans would work, but I've seen people in there in shorts for dinner.
20-30 bucks a plate.

I had a bottle of Jordan Cab the last time I was there for just over $70. Most places will be around $100, if that puts the wine list in perspective.

Hearsay in market square or discovery green (two DT locations)...great vibe, good apps and discovery green location has more of a higher end entre menu ($30-$45)
There is a Tapas place over by HOB that is supposed to be good...Andalucia...they have flamenco music and dancers some nights...great small plates and good vibes.

Went to Liberty Kitchen this past Sunday for brunch. Food was awesome. The rest of the menu looked great as well. Good drink list
