I thought the dressing was great and that is exactly why they do not put any real ingredients in the salad to highlight the dressing

Highlighting Almost pure White Vinegar is pretty odd. I would really like to believe they put something else in the vinegar but honestly it tastes like pure vinegar with nothing else.. Kinda like when you eat cucumbers with just vinegar and a little bit of salt and pepper.

I think I am the only one who liked the salad. ... I am pretty easy to please though.

I like it, and foks in another thread are denigrating me as a "food snob."

I went to Does for the second time two weeks ago. I was pleased both times. The tamales were the best I've had since Muffaletto's closed. The chili is great on them. I had the filet and it was perfect. My parents shared a 2 lb bone in ribeye and it was enough for the two of them. I tried my kid's fries and they were really good. He compared them to the homemade fries my mom makes. I agree that the salad is nothing special...I did not eat it so as not to fill up before the steak. I will go back and will recommend it without reserve.

I have been to the Greenville Doe's several times and have always enjoyed it. Have only been to the BR location once, it was pretty good too. Not a fancy joint, but it is a nice option with pretty good steaks and sides.

I liked the ambiance and informality and the staff was very cordial.
