Does anybody refrigerate their maple syrup?

I was reading the back of the maple syrup bottle this morning, as one does, when I saw that it says "refrigerate after opening." Now I've never refrigerated syrup in my life and I can't imagine why you would have to. Anyway I gave a little to the kids first and they seemed fine so I went ahead and ate it.

Yep. It's in the fridge. I use syrup so seldom I really have to. My current small bottle is about 12 years old.

Never. Not ketchup and not syrup.

Real maple syrup? Yes I refrigerate it. Here is why (well my real reason why is because bottle says to and it isn't cheap , but this explains it)

Thanks for the link. I guess in theory this would apply to Steens too?

I have some local honey like that, right now. It's not very old, though.

Just looked at the can of Steens. Nowhere on it does it say refirgerate after opening.

Always do. Stuff is good on bacon.

I warm syrup anyway for bacon dipping and waffles or pancakes, but I'd rather dip bacon in it than anything else.
