I just put two chickens in my smoker that will go in the gumbo pot tomorrow. Once upon a time, a Denardo coached team beat a Spurrier coached team in Deaf Valley. We made “Gris Gris Gumbo” that day. Some of you may remember that magic night. That voodoo gumbo been our go to ever since

At least once a season, someone in our group of friends needs to make a Popeye's sacrifice for a Saints game. It's like the scene from Major League, just not a live chicken.

I normally grill but I’m doing about 6 appetizers and just graze all game long while sipping on some brown water

No tradition, just whatever I can put together early enough in the day that I don't miss any of the games I want to watch.

Today is leftover BBQ chicken, grilled Ichiban eggplant, grilled okra and a twice baked potato casserole.

Of course lots of cold beer and cocktail fixings on hand.
