There’s a burger place in Seattle that didnt have onions. I was confused as hell when the worker told me this. This was back in 2003.
Was it Dick’s Drive-In? They don’t put onions on their burgers, but you can buy a small container of them there for $.05. I never seen anyone ever purchase and add the onions though. I’m a big onions fan, especially on burgers, but Dick’s burgers don’t need them.

Onions are wonderful raw or cooked, and there are very few dishes that I don't use them. You have my sympathies having to cook for finicky in-laws.

My step family wont eat anything with onions cooked in it.
This is a "Tell me your step family can't cook without telling me they can't cook" moment.
Other than things like salt, pepper, and oil, I can't think of anything more prevalent in food around the world than onions. Honestly, what do these people even eat? Whatever they're eating, it sucks.

Onions are either the base or an extremely important part of so many dishes that its nearly impossible to avoid onions all together. And they are delicious.

I didn't care for them at all as a kid, but have grown to like them...especially raw on a burger or chili dog. It was always more of an issue with texture than flavor for me.

Onion rings are my preferred side at Whataburger. Their fries aren't great, but when the rings are good they are :chef's kiss: to me.
