maybe i'm being too broad, but i'm calling the liver 'guts'--plus the obvious casings which are the intestines

Technically, the intestines are gut. The liver is an organ, the organ responsible for filtering out the poisons.

Intestine equals organ, and for that matter so is skin so that makes cracklins eating organs as well
