Why not just get a sitter? She wont remember that shite.
Why not mind your own business? Using your stupid arse logic, I should just treat her likw shite since she won't remember any of this anyway.

You are just being lazy by not getting a sitter. Your kid wont remember any of it, and if she did it wouldnt be a good memory.
I mean, we all see you're clueless. But this is just sad.

Like bringing her to a stadium full of people yelling and screaming in her face, until 11 PM?

Why are y’all even responding to this uneducated childless “it’s all about me” person? He doesn’t have a clue about being a parent or about children. He’s problem 18 or under. He probably has never eaten at Commander’s.

7 months old is the sweet spot in my mind for most kids. They usually arent mobile but can be readily amused by things. With that said, and understanding a baby can go from a peach to a terror in 5 minutes.
Galatoire's - It's loud already and a crying baby isnt going to distract anyone any more than the bachelorette party with a guy in a banana costume playing the fiddle. I wouldn't necessarily recommend going for lunch on a Friday but very good place for lunch on Saturday or Sunday or dinner.
Really any of the older line (Brennan's, Arnaud's Commander's Palace) spots will be fine to take a kid to. They have been taking care of well behaved children and bad adults for decades.
Cochon would be another good spot to visit.

plus they'll take the baby out if there's crying.
I'm picturing a waiter grabbing the baby and taking them out!
If you are a responsible parent and know when to get up and leave then it is fine.....but don't act like everyone is a responsible parent.

Absolutely, but thats like playing the roulette.
Sure. But it's a roulette wheel that reliably lands on red for 2 straight hours 4 times per day, and always hits evens around meal times, and always goes to black immediately after hitting the evens.
Most people with a brain could play and be successful. It's an infant. They are really not that hard to control with some preparation.

This thread is about the Miz Piggy's question. Did you read her post?

We'll eat early to avoid peak crowds and one of us will whisk him out with a quickness if he gets fussy. I don't want to ruin anyone's meal, but we'd still like to eat well while we're there.

Yes. I tacked that with an edit at the end just saying I've been some places where the people never left. I hope he/she sticks to it.
But I still love the image of Ti tossing a baby out!

Commander's would work well for you. They accommodate children very well and it is loud enough that you will not be a distraction to other reasonable diners. Ask to sit upstairs in the Garden Room. Other than Commanders, any of the Brennans restaurant will likely work well as they have outstanding service, are uaually quite boisterous and are used to children. Palace Café, in particular, would be a good choice.

Won't be necessary - he'll be wearing his seersucker suit!
Although...it will be after Labor Day, but that's a whole other TD thread, and this one has been contentious enough as it is.

Would he be welcome at Commander's during the jazz brunch?
Definitely. We just went with our 5 m.o. and they were all very friendly. We even checked when we made the reservations and they were completely fine with it. They will likely sit you upstairs which is traditionally the "loud" room where big parties/groups/celebrations are.
