I tried watching one of his videos and don’t find them the least bit entertaining or comedic.

Once again, EVERY restaurant has a supplier. Walkons does have premade sauces and soups from a local Louisiana processor. Someone has to deliver it.

The menu was better, but the food was not good.
OG Walkons was goddamn terrible. I never knew that it had some halcyon revival moment.

Sysco also serves many of the mom and pop restaurants that are loved on this board.

There is zero incentive to get fresh shrimp at places like these.
Because they legally can't.
Unless the fisherman is an owner of the restaurant, they have to buy frozen/processed seafood.
And they can't use Louisiana redfish.
State law.

As soon as I found out that they use imported seafood, I knew I’d never go back. The rest of their food is like any other sports bar type place IMO.

Once you leave Louisiana it becomes very uneconomical to use Louisiana seafood. They aren't going to do contracts for just Louisiana and then everyone else
