i like soggy fries. i like to dump salt on them bc it soaks in really well. also, they still taste a little like potatoes, which is good.

I still like WoW wings fries the best.. The cut is very simular to Dempseys but they put this salt or something on them that has a sweetness to them. Dempsey's fries are just a bit too soggy for me.. But taste good dipped in the au jus from the french dip.

i know dude. if only i would have ordered the french dip like i originally wanted. i switched to shrimp poboy at the last minute. it sucks for me bc i cant make myself eat there again, and i really like their food, and they're so close.

Something similar happened to me at Hymel's about 10 years ago. I figured it is a long shot to happen to me again, I went back.
However, if the place looks like a a fecal farm, I stay away permanently. That doesn't fit Dempsey's at all.

maybe. like i said, i've eaten your shrimp poboys for the past 8 years and they've all been delicious. could have been a stomach bug, i guess. they just tasted funny enough for me to quit eating the poboy after a few bites. who knows...maybe my husband was tampering with my food so he could lay on the couch and watch time warp all night by himself.

i really hope, for your case, that it was just a bug...and i know the taste you are talking about...sometimes it's just a matter of the batch, but we would NEVER serve rotten food!
it would really suck to lose a customer like you over something like this considering you have eaten at our restaurant for a long time...i truly hope you come back because we appreciate your business and because i know you appreciate our food!

no...that's really not in my plans. i mean, there is always that possibility but i think i want my life to take a different direction than the restaurant business

There is an intestinal virus going around have had several friends come down with it and no they did not eat a Dempsey's or my house...lasts about 24 to 48 hours and then you are fine.

I took a food borne illness class and it scared the crap out of me... Hard to tell what you got sick from because of the time it can take for unset of sickness. Unfortunatly for owner in the food business, MANY blame it on the last thing they ate and its most often not the case.

Hey Gugs one of my employees is working a few shifts at your place now. He's a pretty good worker so make sure you keep him in line. Hopefully i can get a few recipes out of him

BOH....SM. His buddy has been working there a while i believe. We dont searve the same foods so no worries about taking secrets. I do have a trip planned to Dempeys next week for lunch. I have never been and any thread this long on the F&D board deserves a visit!
