Defrosting a ribeye roast?

Last time ribeyes were on sale I picked up a 10lb bone in roast. I want to cook it Saturday. What would be the best method for defrosting that big thing? I’m the fridge for a few days like a turkey?
Also, your favorite cooking methods would be appreciated as well.

Put it in the fridge tomorrow.
Pro tip: wrap it in a towel in case it leaks

Yeh I’d do the fridge and wrap it with a towel or something.... it’s going to leak blood/water.
Personally, I’d smoke it with salt and cracked pepper to about 120-125 and let rest. Then finish it over the coals if needed to crisp it up.
If not throw that big bitch in the oven on a rack, with salt/pepper and some herbs underneath it.
Just make sure you let it rest for a good 20-30min covered. It’ll finish coming up to med rare in the middle and keep it juicey.

I usually just put a frozen roast in a baking pan in the fridge. That way, when it defrosts, the liquid will just accumulate in the pan and not all over the place or on a towel that will probably also leak once it's saturated.
One of the best prime, bone-in rib roasts I've ever had was fixed by a friend of mine that did it in the oven----low and slow. He cooked it between rare and medium rare and did so uncovered. It got a nice crust on the outside and was tender and juicy when cut. He only seasoned it with salt, pepper and a bit of garlic powder.
The only difference in this case was the roast was never frozen. I do find meat loses a bit of its tenderness if frozen and cooked later.

I have one of these in the fridge specifically for this reason. They're great for defrosting/storing meat. If the meat leaks, it's contained in an easily cleaned basket instead of a drawer in your fridge. You can get them at Bed Bath and Beyond in 12 packs for $12. They make great freezer organizers, too.
You can stack two of them with foil balls between them to create a gap and punch holes in the top one to let the juices drain if you know you're going to want to do that, and you're only out a buck.
Take the shoes out first.
