My wife swears by HG Supply. It was pretty decent the 2-3 times I’ve been. Rooftop is nice when it’s not too hot out.

As others have mentioned, Braindead is a good place for beer. Have a ton of taps. I prefer it over Deep ellum. I am also a fan of four corners. Small taproom, but I enjoy the beer

Bishop Arts has a bunch of good spots. I hit up Bolsa a few years back. V good

Its just average to me and if I am going to drink a 9% beer, it better be really good. But most Red Ales are pretty average IMO so maybe I just don't care for the style. But beyond that beer what do they have that's good? Their IPAs have all been mediocre.

Fair enough. I'm not a big IPA guy. I know all palates are subjective.

I have been to Turning Point the last 3 Fridays...it is really good..plus it is only 2 miles from the house.

Do they fill growler/crowlers or sell cans? I can get enough free time to grab some and go but doubt I could stick around that long this weekend.

If you're looking for fajitas, La Hacienda Ranch has probably the best ones I've ever had.

I haven’t been in years, but it was always my favorite too. They grill everything with mesquite.

I don't know how they make it that tender. It's unbelievable.

If you've got some time to kill and the weather is nice, check out Katy Trail Ice House in Uptown. Plenty of beers to choose from and a nice outdoor area. Also, no shortage of women to look at

Braindead has a triple dry hopped version of their NEIPA coming out sometime this week.

Lockhart in bishop arts is great BBQ if you can't get into pecan lodge or don't want to wait.

I think that's part of Mariano's. Have not eaten there but Mariano's was to have invented the frozen margarita from a machine. Their food was excellent and their drinks were also. The Old Town location closed a while back.
Need to make an effort to their new bay.

Was is the operative word. They went downhill about 5 years ago and raised their prices. They were good for a while at the new location but no mas. Used to be one of my favorites. I usually hit Desperadoes, E-Bar or Mia's now. And Ive been liking La Calle Doce lately. Then all the taco places like Mariachis, Revolver and Trompo.

Mariano's was hit with the NEW Old Town Rent factor I think that made them change their ways.
I still like Herrera's on Sylvan as one of the best Tex Mex PERIOD.
used 2B on Maple....around for over 40+ years.

They moved out of old Town a long time ago and they were good at the new location for a few years.

they usually fill growlers and sell cans but they had to discontinue grower fills this week for a while until they can replenish their keg inventory

Just wemt to turning point. Not a bad place. The grumbo was really good. Heavy pulp was just ok. Decent place. Want to try their other 2 NE IPAs when they make more.
