Going to a concert there in the coming weeks. Is there anything in that area worth going to do during the day? A brewery or other good place to hang out and day drink? I really don't want to go all the way into Houston if I don't need to.

Also looking for recs on a decent hotel near the concert venue.

If you are looking for a brewery you could either go up to B-52 in Conroe or down to Excalibur in old town spring. There are others spread around to where you won’t have to go into the city and those two would be pretty easy to get to.

there’s a Marriott and a Westin right across the street.
the venue is in the middle of an ant pile of chain restaurants though so if you find anything decent pls advise

We will be there in October

Which one would you recommend of the two? B-52 looks pretty cool from the pictures I see.

B-52 would be the better spot if you dont mind going up to Conroe. Old town Spring is a pretty cool little are though if you want to walk around and check out the shops and whatnot, plus probably closer.

Like someone above said there are a ton of chain type places around Cynthia Woods but it doesnt mean its all bad. If I were you I would go to one of the breweries during the day, clean up at your hotel, do dinner and more drinks around the area, then head to your show.

Corkscrew BBQ in Spring + B52 in Conroe

ETA: if not looking to drive around, just hang around Market St

I cover the woodlands for work but rarely eat up there besides something quick at Whole Foods or whatever. So I am sure I missing some spots

Baker st and goose acre are two bars that are walking distance from Cynthia woods. They will be slammed for dead and co

Good co is little further down long walk/short Uber but the food and drinks are better.
